Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) Committee Members

The Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Committee at the World Naturopathic Federation (WNF) plays a crucial role in the global fight against antimicrobial resistance. Antimicrobial resistance poses a significant threat to public health, as it can lead to the inefficacy of standard treatments for infections, thereby increasing morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. The AMR Committee of the WNF works to integrate naturopathic and traditional approaches in the prevention and management of antimicrobial resistance, promoting sustainable and evidence-based health practices that complement conventional efforts.

Objectives of AMR Committee

  • Increase Awareness and Education on AMR: Promote awareness and education about antimicrobial resistance among healthcare professionals, patients and the general public.

  • Develop and Integrate Evidence-Based Practices: Support research and integrate evidence-based naturopathic practices to combat AMR, ensuring safe and effective treatments.

  • Promote Policy and Global Collaboration: Partner with international organizations and influence public policies to reduce AMR by promoting the rational use of antimicrobials and safe naturopathic alternatives.
